The Boylston Medical Society of Harvard University was founded on January 6, 1811 and incorporated on June 13, 1823. The Society was named in honor of Nicholas Ward Boylston, who established a prize for the best medical dissertation offered by a member of the Society, known as the Boylston Medical Prize.
